Program Description: Cuyahoga County Public Library is partnering with Cleveland State University, Playhouse Square Center, and neighboring library systems to make The Big Read a success for residents in Cleveland, OH. The Playhouse Square Center will present the one woman play, Zora, to the stage for all to experience. To encourage non-readers to participate, music programs and a photography contest will be offered in addition to Web resources. The library branches have planned book discussions, film showings and other creative programs to discuss the life of Zora Neale Hurston, and issues that were present at that period in time.
