"The Things They Carried" Teen Collage Part One (Lafourche Parish)

Teens will participate in The Big Read 2013 by participating in this two part program. Part 1 will include a discussion about Tim O’Brien’s novel The Things They Carried. During this session teens will begin working on a personal collage. They will imagine that they are sent off to a foreign land, leaving behind everything that they have ever known, to protect our country. The collage will be a collection of pictures of what they left behind. Part 2 will be a completion and explanation of their collages and will be held on April 10. 2013. Refreshments will be served.
