John Jaros of the Aurora Historical Society traces Mexican immigration to Aurora back to 1920s. Latin American Artists of the Twentieth Century

Art Historian Jeff Mishur presents a slide lecture examining the paintings of four of Mexico’s preeminent artists; Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco and Frida Kahlo. Their work emphasizes Mexico’s folk traditions and pre-Columbian roots and ties in with the 1920’s cultural and educational reform movement.
